1. Verify the Official Domain
Always type the official CEX website address manually into your browser instead of clicking on random links. Look for the HTTPS padlock in the address bar before entering your credentials.
2. Enable Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)
To enhance your security, enable 2FA using an authenticator app or a hardware security key. Avoid using SMS 2FA where possible as it’s vulnerable to SIM swap attacks.
3. Avoid Public Wi-Fi
Never access your account over public or untrusted Wi-Fi networks. If necessary, use a trusted VPN connection to add a layer of encryption to your data.
4. Recognize Phishing Attempts
- Ignore emails that urge you to “verify your account immediately.”
- Check sender addresses and hover links before clicking.
- Never share OTP codes or recovery phrases with anyone — even if they claim to be support.
5. Keep Devices Secure
Keep your operating system and browser up to date. Regularly scan for malware and disable unnecessary extensions to avoid data leaks.
